The NCT or MOT have no new regulations yet for the introduction of testing DPF. In the UK from January 2014, they have introduced it as part of the visual test only.
There is no current test of a DPF other than a visual test, as it is calculated by weight of ash or soot content.
We are asked all the time if we remove the DPF and remap the car or van for no DPF, will if effect the NCT or DOE, the short answer is, not at the moment.
The status is there is no pending test scheduled, so we can only assume that if they do in the future, if will be similar to the resent add on to the MOT in the UK, and it will only be a visual. It is then important that a removal is done correctly and descretely.
